Ryan DeMita Concept Art

Something about concept art really inspires me. I think its the use of colors that is just brilliant, especially in concept environments. You really have to have an understanding of color and light in order to perfect this art. Anyway, Ryan DeMita is a graduate of University of Cincinnati DAAP program, and his work just needs to be shown. You can see more at http://ryandemita.blogspot.com/

B.O.B. No Mans Land

I guess since we are on the subject of videos...

Drake - Over (video)

Finally he is starting to come out with some more of his own stuff. I dig the changes in tempo within the beat in the song. Good stuff.

Schwinn Redesign

Design firm Capsule recently released their new take on the packaging for Schwinn. The new look brings a certain vintage cool back to an classic American brand. The old design (seen above) seemed fine at first, but in reality was lacking some originality and flair and was limiting the brands potential. I think the new look is well...classy.

The future of print

Mag+ live with Popular Science+ from Bonnier on Vimeo.

I have always been intrigued by the future of printed goods. With the release of the iPad and the Kindle, people have been fearing the decline of the physical entity that make up our books, magazines, and newspapers. I believe that when done right, their fears are with good reason. This example of the new Popular Science + for the iPad is one of the first digital magazine to emerge for the new portable technologies. Called Mag +, the new digital magazine was produced by Bonnier in collaboration with the London design firm BERG.

Creative Recreation: Canvas

The latest from one of my favorite shoe brands, Creative Recreation. These new all canvas styles are perfect for the upcoming summer months, and of course maintain the classic CR style that works with just about any article of clothing in your wardrobe.

Clever ad.

Minoru Blvd

Minoru Blvd seems to be a new and upcoming fashion/culture blog that just does a great job of using type and excellent photography to really highlight the articles and inspire the mind. Just some recent photos from the blog about sketching supplies. It makes me want to go out and buy some sketch stuff of my own!

New from incase

I really like the direction that incase is going with this new line of products. The design is functional and clean. These were well designed with a biker in mind. The products come in black as well (which I prefer).

A splash of blue

I really just liked what this guy did with a velvet brown blazer and shirt. I have one exactly like it, yet I could never seem to find a way to wear it without seeming like I was in the 70s. I guess it has to do with fit, fit, fit.
