The 15 below jacket, designed by Canadian designer Lida Biday, was designed to help devise a way to keep the homeless warm in cold Canadian winters. The jacket itself is light, windproof, and water proof. But the coux de gras comes with the "insulation". Users can stuff newspaper into 15 hidden pockets within the coat to provide some insulation, which is rated for 15 below weather for at least 8 hours. The bag can also fold into a pillow and a backpack. Several of the bags have been signed by famous celebritites and made it to ebay to be sold as a fundraiser. Celeb endorsers include Yo-Yo Ma, John Stewart, Nelly Furtado, R.E.M, and more.

The same went for card companies, of which there were only 10 variations and were all made by the Soviet state. Apparently Ancient Mayan culture seemed to be of interest to Russians at that time?

A police car, thats actually a police car.

The first purpose-built police car by Carbon Motors brand. This machine was designed and built specifically for all things police. No stock frame on this baby. There have been many additions, of course, that make it better for crime fighting. The machine boasts a 300 hp clean diesel engine, and a frame that can withstand a 75 mph rear impact. Not only that, the thing just looks aggressive. To quote the company:

The car was designed to be robust and last to a 250,000 mile durability specification. Inside the car, many features aim to improve the officers job. Extreme Human Abilities

If you have not heard of Parkour, you need to check it out. It is basically a street art where people can jump around urban settings. These guys seem to have superhuman jumping abilities and absolutely no fear or inhibitions. This video shows some of their stunts.

Raymond Loewy

Raymond Loewy was one of the greatest designers of the postwar generation. He is considered the father of modern industrial design. Some of his famous creations include the Shell and Exxon logos, anything "streamlined", Studebaker Cars, the Coca-Cola bottle, and numerous other products. It has been said that in his heyday, you could not go through a normal day without encountering something that Loewy had helped design.
